La AHA, junto con la ACC y otras sociedades científicas de EEUU, han publicado en febrero de 2025 la actualización de sus guías de manejo de los pacientes con síndrome coronario agudo. Entre otros cambios, se ha revisado la indicación de las estatinas, se privilegia el uso de ticagrelor y prasugrel frente al del clopidogrel como antiagregantes en los pacientes que van a ser sometidos a una angioplastia coronaria percutánea, y se han matizado las estrategias de reperfusión. The American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology and other scientific societies from USA have issued, in February, its new Acute Coronary Syndromes Management guideline. It includes, among other things, a review in the use of statins, the
preference for the use of ticagrelor or prasugrel in patients who are
undergoing PCI, and a series of changes in reperfusion strategies.
