Emergencias hipertensivas

Se define la emergencia hipertensiva por la presencia de daño orgánico agudo mediado por la hipertensión. Su manejo no es uniforme, y hay un riesgo importante de hipoperfusión orgánica cuando se trata muy agresivamente. Un grupo de tres anestesistas de Mánchester han elaborado recientemente un artículo de revisión de este cuadro, en el que actualizan su definición, diagnóstico y manejo, tanto si aparece aisladamente como en el contexto de otros cuadros clínicos (SCA, síndrome aórtico, preeclampsia, ictus, hemorragia intracraneal o traumatismos, entre otros). Three anaesthesists from Manchester (UK) have published recently a review article on hypertensive emergencies, in which they update its definition, diagnosis and management, when it appears as an isolate symptom but also when appears concurrently with other clinical conditions (ACS, aortic syndrome, pre-eclampsia, stroke, intracerebral haemorrhage or major trauma, for example).
